Apoquel may begin working in as little as four hours and fully control itching within 24 hours. Why is Apoquel used for dogs? Apoquel may be prescribed by your dog’s veterinarian to control short term or long term itching and inflammation from dermatitis, environmental allergies, food allergies, fleas, or other irritants. What else should I know about Apoquel for Dogs?
